Group IT Hosting Manager
With IT systems down, business is off. It is really that simple at Solar. The group's complex storage infrastructure, where all data is stored, is particularly critical. In 2009, as a consequence of this fact, Solar decided to make an IT- strategic decision to keep only daily operations in-house, and to outsource design, implementation, development, monitoring, and crisis management to the storage experts from B4Restore.
Solar manages day-to-day operations themselves, whereas everything requiring specialist knowledge has been outsourced to B4Restore. The most vital tasks include continuous health checks of the company's storage and strategic discussions, which is crucial when Solar needs to maintain and future-proof their infrastructure.
Each health check is documented in a quarterly report that provides Britta Bech with a fast and clear overview of the situation at Solar's data centers.
